"As a free deed, meditation is naturally individual, uniquely our own. It is where we most fully become ourselves. Its practice is also always individual. There are no rules.
"Just as every potter will elaborate his or her own way of making pots, so every person who meditates will shape his or her own meditation. No two people will do a given meditation in exactly the same way. The same meditation practiced daily will be different every time.
"Every meditation is experimental. One never knows what is going to happen. Improvisation is essential... Meditation is something to play with... There is no 'wrong' way of doing the meditation, except not doing it!"

— Aldous Huxley
"It's dark because you are trying too hard. Lightly child, lightly. Learn to do everything lightly. Yes, feel lightly even though you're feeling deeply. Just lightly let things happen and lightly cope with them. I was so preposterously serious in those days... Lightly, lightly - it's the best advice ever given me... So throw away your baggage and go forward. There are quicksands all about you, sucking at your feet, trying to suck you down into fear and self-pity and despair. That's why you must walk so lightly. Lightly my darling..."

My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.

Buddhists say if you meet somebody and your heart pounds, your hands shake, your knees go weak, that's not the one. When you meet your 'soul mate' you'll feel calm. No anxiety, no agitation.

We are the product of 4.5 billion years of fortuitous, slow biological evolution.
There is no reason to think that the evolutionary process has stopped.
Man is a transitional animal. He is not the
climax of creation.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

Ego sees what ego does. Pull then shove, pull then shove? God simply sees and smiles and loves. One hand opened, one hand gloved. Dancing the balance of hawk and dove.

From the writings of Dr. Paul Foster Case
Tarot Key 2 - Sub Consciousness
Subconsciousness is represented by the garden in Key 2. The fertile soil of this garden will grow any seed planted by the Magician. If you, as the Magician, plant careless observations and incorrect reasoning -- the weeds of conscious thought -- your subconsciousness will develop these seeds of error a thousand-fold, with all sorts of uncomfortable consequences.
On the other hand, if you learn to concentrate, to make your mental imagery clear and definite, if you make accurate observations from which you draw correct inferences, the seed you plant in your subconscious garden will bear fruit in the renewal, revivification and regeneration of your personality.
The ability of subconsciousness to develop seed ideas in this way may be formulated thus: Subconsciousness is possessed of perfect powers of deductive reasoning.
